Harmony Kingdom Dark Tin Cat

These are two Dark Tin Cat HK pieces that I have. According to HK, only the first 990 of these painted this way, with a brown painted boat, green base and grey sharks. (Actually, there are actually only 989 left, since one that I found for Muddwoman arrived horribly broken in the mail, due to totally incompetent packing on the part of the store that shipped it. I will never again trust a store I don't know to ship a valuable piece to someone else.) This was then changed in response to criticism that it was overpainted! (what would they have said to Ed's Safari II, had it come out then!)

The sharks are definately gray (the one on the right is a little darker gray than the other), the bottom is green, and the boat is much darker than the common version of the piece.

They were both bought at retail over three years ago. The one on the left has slight chips on the underside of the lid (you can see them in the picture if you look closely), but they are not visible at all unless you're looking at the bottom of the lid. This is the one that was signed by Pete spring 1998 at Rosemont. (why I didn't take both, I have no idea!)

I am only selling one of the two (I like the dark version much, much better than the regular one), but you can let me know which one you would rather have. This piece will come in its original green HK box.
